Following their finest season of all time, Nathan Hannay and his troops have been shortlisted for the team award at the National Rugby Awards which takes place on 29 August at Twickenham Stadium and celebrates the achievements and successes of grassroots clubs across the country.
On their website, the awards are described as “Created to honour the achievements of every single rugby club in the country. The coaches, the players, the supporters. The dedicated, the committed, the enthusiastic. The National Rugby Awards recognises all those that contribute in so many ways to the great game of rugby in England.”
The 2019 Awards ceremony will be held at Twickenham “The Home of English Rugby” and will be attended by rugby celebrities as well as members of England Rugby teams and Premiership players, along with Honiton’s heroes who will head to Twickenham and be recognised for their incredible efforts not just on the pitch, but for the inspiration and bond that they have developed within the local community.
Event ambassador, Chris Robshaw added, “I am honoured to be a part of an event that recognises the, often unheralded, work and achievements of those involved in rugby around the country… It is fantastic that the National Rugby Awards is now a permanent fixture in the rugby calendar and has now become the largest rugby club awards ceremony in the world.”
Tickets for the event can be purchased from the event website on the link below, and it would be fantastic to see a good showing of Tonites in attendance.
This really is a tremendous and thoroughly deserved occasion for HRFC and once again, on behalf of all players and coaches, thank you for your support.
Don’t forget, it’s just a few weeks before the club gets its season underway so come on down to Allhallows and cheers on the teams as they embark on their 2019/20 journeys.
